Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $3.5 million spent. Revitalize Milwaukee, Inc. RM preserves affordable housing and transforms neighborhoods in need of critical repairs throughout Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties. Through our Healthy Homes initiative, we address toxins such as lead, reduce asthma triggers and address safety modifications and emergency repairs. In 2024, RM completed 4,439 repairs on 340 homes, benefitting 580 individuals. Of those 4,439 repairs, 1,405 were accessibility modifications, enabling homeowners to remain independent, and 131 were emergency repairs, completed within 48 hours or less. Our work is completed with the help of thousands of volunteer hours. Our homeowners have lived in their homes for an average of 24 years and are at risk of becoming homeless or paying unaffordable costs to live in an assisted living facility. To ensure our homeowners live safely and comfortably in their homes, we partner with over 50 local agencies that provide low-cost services that would otherwise go unattended.
