Financial health
We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance
This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence
Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.
Programs described in its return (3)
- $27,399 spent. The Hometown Music Fest is a free, family oriented event with a variety of local bands and kids activities that brings the people of Hudson and surrounding communities together. Funds are raised each year for a local charity. The charity, St Croix Valley Food Bank, was the recipient of $8,500. Food and drinks are available for purchase. Approximately 3,500 people attended the one day event. In addition to Lions members, local volunteers also worked to support the event. The event is one of three recognized by the City of Hudson for its positive impact on the community.
- $3,000 spent. Three $1,000 scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors from the Hudson area high schools for furthering their education. The awards are to individuals who have demonstrated their accomplishments in schools and by providing service to others in the community. The applicants are chosen based on their ability to fit the Lions's motto, "We Serve".
- Each year donations are allocated to various groups and charities (Detailed Listing on Schedule O, Part I line 10). All of these groups help an undetermined number of people. The needs vary from providing vision testing and corneal transplants, to food and shelter, to education and assistance for people with diabetes and disabilities. Camps for diabetic children and those with disabilities are free to all participants.
