Financial health
We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance
This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence
Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.
Programs described in its return (8)
- Grant to Dane County to pay for removing aquatic debris and excess plant growth from Lake Kegonsa and part of the Yahara river. That reduces nutrients available to harmful algae and reduces weeds getting tangled props. All lake users benefits from less blue green algae and a more boatable lake. Annually 200K people use Lake Kegonsa state park, and at at least that many use the lake without visiting the state park.
- Grants and in kind donations (along with labor) to Dane County to help care for Fish Camp County Park. Native plants, weeding, landscaping, building repair, signage are among the services we provided. We also paid for a county employee to care for the park. Native plants reduce runoff. The County Park allows people to access the lake. 1000s of people use the park annually.
- Grant to Town of Dunn to pay for cost of planting and maintaining native plants in a roundabout a few hundred feet from Lake Kegonsa. The use of native plants reduces runoff (relative to grass). Services include working with Dane County and WISDOT to secure grants to cover part of the cost (not paid by us or the Town). Native plants reduce runoff. Every person who uses the lake benefits from reduced runoff. More than 10,000 people see it each day, and see how they can reduce runoff on their property and have nice looking landscaping.
- Grant to Town of Pleasant Springs to help keep leaves and leaf runoff out of lake by contributing to a fall leaf pickup. Without our help the leaves would contribute phosphorus to the lake, which feeds harmful algae. About 75,000 poiunds of leaves are collected by Pleasant Springs. Every lake user (hundreds of thousands) benefits.
- Grant to Clean Lakes Alliance to help monitor water quality and protect the water quality. Every lake user (hundreds of thousands) benefits.
- Grant to Rock River Coalition to help monitor water quality. Every lake user (hundreds of thousands) benefits.
- Grant to Dane County Humane Society Wildlife Center to help rehabilitate wildlife, including turtles, raptors, water fowl etc. Every lake user (hundreds of thousands) benefits.
- $1,577 spent. Supplies to repair buildings and add items at fish camp county park
