IN FEBRUARY 2008, THE NAME WAS CHANGED FROM WISCONSIN ONSITE WASTEWATER RECYCLING ASSOCIATION TO ITS CURRENT NAME - WISCONSIN ONSITE WATER RECYCLING ASSOCIATION - TO REFLECT OUR WORK NOT ONLY WITH SEPTIC SYSTEMS BUT ALSO STORMWATER MANAGEMENT.

THE ASSOCIATION'S ANNUAL CONVENTION WAS HELD IN FEBRUARY 2025 IN WISCONSIN DELLS AND WAS ATTENDED BY APPROXIMATELY 110 PEOPLE. THREE OTHER SEMINARS WERE HELD IN 2025 - FOR POWTS DESIGN, SOIL, AND POWTS INSPECTION. A NEWSLETTER IS PRODUCED OCCASIONALLY. THE ASSOCIATION MAKES AVAILABLE PUBLICATIONS FOR CONSUMER EDUCATION REGARDING THEIR SEPTIC SYSTEMS. THE ASSOCIATION ALSO ADVOCATES ON BEHALF OF THE INDUSTRY.
