Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $99,774 spent. Court Watch Montgomerys programmatic mission is having eyes on the court to gather data and record insights on the experience of domestic violence survivors in our court system. In 2025, Court Watch volunteers monitored 1680 domestic violence protective order hearings in Montgomery County courthouses. Four extensive initial training sessions for 29 new volunteers and ongoing education for established volunteers empowered 70 community members to monitor hearings and enter data. In 2025, volunteers donated approximately 4,500 hours in court and behind the scenes. Court Watch published a Staggered Exit Report, as we have each of the last few years. And our staff maintained regular communication with local and state court administrators as well as partner organizations to promptly flag issues and collaboratively resolve any problems to improve court processes and protect victims.
