Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $407,102 spent. 2024 WAS AN EXCITING YEAR FOR CLARK PARK. IN ADDITION TO OUR REGULAR YEAR- ROUND PROGRAMMING WHICH INCLUDES ICE HOCKEY AND LEARN-TO-SKATE ACTIVITIES FOR WINTER AND BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL FOR THE SUMMER MONTHS, THE NEW PARK RENOVATIONS ALLOWED US TO GREATLY EXPAND OUR ACTIVITIES. OUR NEW PARTNERSHIPS AND COLLABORATIONS ALSO HELPED TO ENHANCE OUR OFFERINGS. HUNDREDS OF YOUTH AGES FIVE THROUGH 16 PARTICIPATED THIS SUMMER IN OUR POPULAR BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL PROGRAMS. MORE THAN 20 YOUNGSTERS WERE ABLE TO LEARN ABOUT AND PERFECT THEIR SKILLS IN LACROSSE, A RECENTLY ADDED SPORT THAT CONTINUED INTO THE FALL SEASON. THE WINTER SEASON HOSTED MORE THAN 140 YOUNG PEOPLE OF ALL ABILITIES ON THE ICE RINK DOING EVERYTHING FROM LEARNING TO SKATE TO PLAYING HOCKEY. OUR GIRLS' HOCKEY HAS MORE THAN DOUBLED AND CONTINUES TO GROW. THE RESTORATION OF THE PARK'S PLAYGROUND AND THE ADDITION OF THE POPULAR SPLASH PAD DREW HUNDREDS MORE CHILDREN TO PLAY IN THE WATER AND ENJOY THE NEW SWINGS, SLIDES AND SANDBOX. THE ADDITION OF THE THE RENOVATION OF THE COURTS ALLOWED US TO ADD NOT ONLY NEW TENNIS COURTS, BUT PICKLE BALL, BASKETBALL AND VOLLEYBALL. THESE ARE CONSTANTLY IN USE, AND THE CLARK PARK STAFF WAS ABLE TO START A PICKLE BALL LEAGUE AT THE END OF THE SUMMER SEASON. THE NEWLY INSTALLED OUTDOOR EXERCISE EQUIPMENT WAS CONSTANTLY IN USE BY YOUNG AND OLD ALIKE. OUR COLLABORATIONS AND PARTNERSHIPS WERE INVALUABLE, AS THE PISTONS HELPED TO STAFF PROGRAMS IN BASKETBALL, TENNIS, ZUMBA, ARTS & CRAFTS, YOUTH SOCCER, AND VOLLEYBALL. CO-ED YOGA WAS ADDED, AS WELL. AS THE CITY CONTINUES ITS WORK TO COMPLETE ITS RENOVATIONS TO THE PARK, WE ARE CONFIDENT THE MAJOR INCREASE WE SAW AT THE END OF THE SUMMER WILL CONTINUE AND EVEN GROW. ON THE GOVERNING END OF THE ORGANIZATION, THE BOARD WORKED WITH A CONSULTING FIRM TO DEVELOP A NEW STRATEGIC PLAN WHICH WILL BE USED TO GUIDE THE ORGANIZATION FOR THE NEXT FEW YEARS, AS WE CONTINUE TO GROW AND EXPAND. WE LOOK FORWARD TO 2024 AND ARE EXCITED ABOUT THE ADDITIONAL PROGRAMMING WE CAN OFFER TO THE COMMUNITY. 2024 WAS AN EXCITING YEAR FOR CLARK PARK.
