Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (2)
  1. $1.1 million spent. FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025, GILDA'S CLUB GRAND RAPIDS SERVED APPROXIMATELY 4,040 PEOPLE, RESULTING IN 17,866 PROGRAM VISITS. THE ORGANIZATION SERVES THE ENTIRE WEST MICHIGAN COMMUNITY TO LEND SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT TO THOSE LIVING WITH CANCER, AND TO THEIR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS. OVER 900 VOLUNTEERS PUT IN APPROXIAMATELY 7,650 HOURS TO HELP MEET THE GOALS OF THE ORGANIZATION.
  2. PRIOR TO FY25, WE SEPARATED CANCER AND GRIEF VISITS AND NUMBER OF PEOPLE SERVED BY INCLUDING CANCER ON OUR GCGR 990 AND GRIEF ON OUR RELATED ORGANIZATION 990. FOR EACH OF THE PAST TWO YEARS, WE HAVE UPDATED HOW WE CALCULATE THESE NUMBERS BY USING A SIMPLER FORMAT. FOR FY25, WE ARE INCLUDING BOTH CANCER AND GRIEF VISITS AND NUMBER OF PEOPLE SERVED IN GCGR ONLY, TO SHOW A WHOLE PICTURE OF HOW MANY PEOPLE WE SERVE AND NUMBER OF VISITS. ALTHOUGH THIS SHOWS A LARGE CHANGE FROM YEAR TO YEAR, WE FEEL THAT THIS PROVIDES A MORE ACCURATE REPRESENTATION OF OUR PROGRAM RESULTS AND PROVIDES A CONSISTENT CALCULATION GOING FORWARD.
