Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $181,875 spent. Beyond School. The Saturday program began in 2010 with two boys and The Village founder. The program became a 501c3 in 2015. Today, more than 90 students from throughout metropolitan St. Louis are enrolled. Mentors spend seven hours twice a month leading young men through a comprehensive curriculum focused on career exploration, emotional intelligence, civic engagement and discovery of new experiences and opportunities throughout the region.
  2. $68,203 spent. In School The Village In School program provides educational support for young men where they are...in the classroom during the school day. Being a successful student requires skills that are often not developed in students living in economically disadvantaged environments. Through a partnership with Confluence Academies, Village mentors support student success through tutoring, modeling appropriate behavior, life skills training, setting high expectations and engaging students in activities and conversations that promote mental and emotional health.
  3. $27,281 spent. Family Engagement In 2022, Village leaders formalized support for parents and other caregivers of the young men in the program. Family engagement specialists organize meetings with caregivers to discuss topics important to them. Topics include financial stability, adult education opportunities, substance abuse prevention, violence prevention, and self-care. Family engagement specialists also help caregivers navigate the school system, and connect them with needed resources in the area. Family Engagements Family Night brings the entire Village together quarterly to enjoy and support each other.
