- $164,412 spent. AREYVUT REMAINS PASSIONATELY COMMITTED TO ENGAGING OTHERS IN THE CORE JEWISH VALUES OF CHESED, TZEDAKAH AND TIKKUN OLAM.HIGHLIGHTS FROM OUR 2024-2025 FISCAL YEAR INCLUDE: THROUGH ITS TAILORED PROGRAMS, AREYVUT PARTNERED WITH SCHOOLS, SYNAGOGUES, CAMPS, COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS AND FAMILIES TO CREATE CUSTOMIZED EDUCATIONAL AND VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCES THAT RESPOND TO THE UNIQUE NEEDS OF EACH COMMUNITY. PROGRAMS ENCOURAGED PARTICIPANTS TO DEVELOP LEADERSHIP SKILLS, STRENGTHEN JEWISH IDENTITY AND TRANSLATE LEARNING INTO SUSTAINED ACTS OF KINDNESS, VOLUNTEERISM AND COMMUNAL RESPONSIBILITY. A MAJOR HIGHLIGHT OF THE YEAR WAS THE SUCCESSFUL RELAUNCH OF MITZVAH CLOWNING, AN INTERGENERATIONAL INITIATIVE THAT TRAINS TEENS AND ADULTS TO BRING JOY, COMPANIONSHIP AND HUMAN CONNECTION TO SENIORS, HOSPITAL PATIENTS AND OTHER VULNERABLE POPULATIONS. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO CONTINUED BETTER TOGETHER, ITS INTERGENERATIONAL INITIATIVE THAT BRINGS HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AND SENIOR ADULTS TOGETHER THROUGH STRUCTURED PROGRAMMING DESIGNED TO FOSTER MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIPS, EMPATHY, MUTUAL RESPECT AND SHARED LEARNING. AREYVUT CONTINUED EXPANDING ITS CHESED CAPACITY BUILDING INITIATIVE BY HELPING SCHOOLS, SYNAGOGUES AND NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS STRENGTHEN THEIR OWN VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS, EDUCATIONAL OFFERINGS AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT EFFORTS. RATHER THAN LIMITING ITS IMPACT TO PROGRAMS IT DIRECTLY OPERATES, AREYVUT INCREASINGLY SERVES AS A RESOURCE, CONSULTANT AND STRATEGIC PARTNER, ENABLING OTHER ORGANIZATIONS TO EXPAND THEIR OWN CAPACITY TO EDUCATE, ENGAGE, MOTIVATE AND INSPIRE THEIR CONSTITUENTS THROUGH MEANINGFUL ACTS OF KINDNESS AND SERVICE. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO LAUNCHED ITS INAUGURAL COMMUNITY CHESED FAIR, BRINGING TOGETHER MORE THAN TWENTY NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS TO INTRODUCE STUDENTS, FAMILIES AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO MEANINGFUL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES WHILE HELPING PARTICIPATING ORGANIZATIONS RECRUIT VOLUNTEERS, INCREASE AWARENESS AND STRENGTHEN RELATIONSHIPS ACROSS THE COMMUNITY. DURING THE YEAR, THE ORGANIZATION DEVELOPED AND DISTRIBUTED PRACTICAL EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES, HOLIDAY CONVERSATION STARTERS, FAMILY DISCUSSION GUIDES, EDUCATIONAL VIDEOS AND OTHER MATERIALS DESIGNED TO HELP EDUCATORS, PARENTS, CLERGY AND COMMUNITY LEADERS FACILITATE MEANINGFUL CONVERSATIONS ROOTED IN JEWISH VALUES. THROUGH SHUK TO THE CORE, AREYVUT CONTINUED HELPING ISRAELI ARTISTS, ARTISANS AND SMALL BUSINESSES REACH NEW MARKETS WHILE STRENGTHENING PERSONAL CONNECTIONS BETWEEN DIASPORA JEWRY AND ISRAEL. SINCE OCTOBER 7, PARTICIPATING VENDORS HAVE GENERATED MORE THAN $2.5 MILLION IN SALES WHILE SUPPORTING MORE THAN 75 ISRAELI VENDORS. IN ADDITION, AREYVUT CONTINUED FACILITATING MEANINGFUL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES IN ISRAEL, ENABLING PARTICIPANTS TO CONTRIBUTE THOUSANDS OF HOURS OF SERVICE WHILE RESPONDING TO EVOLVING COMMUNAL NEEDS.
- $37,209 spent. AREYVUT ALSO CONTINUED PUBLISHING ITS LONGSTANDING A KINDNESS A DAY CALENDAR, INSPIRING INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES TO INCORPORATE DAILY ACTS OF KINDNESS INTO THEIR LIVES.
- THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, AREYVUT ALSO EXPANDED ITS EDUCATIONAL REACH THROUGH INTERNSHIPS, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES, PUBLIC SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS, SERVICE-LEARNING EXPERIENCES, VOLUNTEER PROJECTS AND STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS. THESE EFFORTS HELPED PARTICIPANTS NOT SIMPLY VOLUNTEER, BUT DEVELOP THE SKILLS, CONFIDENCE AND COMMITMENT NECESSARY TO BECOME LIFELONG LEADERS DEDICATED TO STRENGTHENING THE JEWISH COMMUNITY AND IMPROVING SOCIETY. DESPITE OPERATING WITH A MODEST STAFF AND LIMITED FINANCIAL RESOURCES, AREYVUT CONTINUED TO DEMONSTRATE THAT THOUGHTFUL PARTNERSHIPS, INNOVATION AND RESPONSIVENESS CAN PRODUCE AN OUTSIZED IMPACT. BY COMBINING DIRECT SERVICE, EDUCATION, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS AND MEANINGFUL SUPPORT FOR ISRAEL, AREYVUT CONTINUES TO BUILD STRONGER INDIVIDUALS, STRONGER ORGANIZATIONS AND STRONGER COMMUNITIES WHILE ENSURING THAT THE TIMELESS JEWISH VALUES OF CHESED, TZEDAKAH AND TIKKUN OLAM REMAIN VIBRANT, RELEVANT AND ACTIONABLE FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS.
