Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (2)
  1. $450 spent. Cascade Backcountry Alliance continues to partner with Forest Service Partners to push for increased access in critical areas. An example of this is discussions around how to sustainably and reliably open the PCT North Trailhead in the winter for backcountry recreation users given the high demand and limited parking at Snoqualmie pass.
  2. Cascade Backcountry Alliance CBA quickly responded to the changing parking environment at Snoqualmie pass posting in our blog with details map and impacts of parking changes. This is a resource that has been leveraged by the community and has been referenced by many community members.
