Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $170,657 spent. ASSISTANCE TO VETERANS: THIS PROGRAM INVOLVES MEETING WITH OUR VETERANS WHO COME INTO THE OFFICE NEEDING HELP OF SOME TYPE. OUR OFFICE IS SET UP WITH A "USO" EXPERIENCE IN WHICH ANYONE CAN COME IN AND HAVE A CUP OF COFFEE AND JUST VISIT AND CHAT. SOME OF THEM HAVE FINANCIAL NEEDS, NEEDS FOR GAS MONEY, FOOD, LODGING, ETC. WE FIRST LOOK AT PROGRAMS THAT ARE ALREADY IN PLACE TO ASSIST THEM, AND IF NONE ARE AVAILABLE AND OUR DONATIONS ALLOW, WE WILL ASSIST THEM IN ANYWAY THAT WE ARE ABLE TO DO SO. INCLUDED IN THIS PROGRAM IS A VISITATION PROGRAM TO OUR VETERANS IN THE ASSISTED LIVING FACILITIES AND NURSING HOMES AND TAKING THEM GIFTS DURING THE HOLIDAYS. WE ALSO INCLUDE VISITS AND TAKING DONATED ITEMS TO THE VA HOMES AND HOMES OF THE WOUNDED WARRIORS.
