Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (2)
  1. $3.3 million spent. Homeownership Program: Families in need of a decent place to live, build safe and affordable homes in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County. Habitat houses are moderately sized; they are large enough for the homeowner family's needs, but small enough to keep construction and maintenance costs affordable. By using the labor of volunteers and prospective homeowners, employing efficient building methods, keeping house sizes modest, using donated construction materials and appliances, and financing its own loans, Habitat makes its houses affordable for low-income families to purchase. Owning an affordable home allows homeowners to lift up their entire family by saving for their futures, investing in educational opportunities, and supporting career growth. During fiscal year 2025, Habitat sold eight homes, financed with affordable mortgages and housing 25 individuals.
  2. $518,674 spent. Habitat ReStore is a home improvement store that collects new and gently used donated building materials, furniture, appliances, and other home goods and sells them to the general public at a discounted rate. The profits from ReStore sales go to support the work of Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County, while also diverting waste from the landfill.
