Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. Sharmaine's Peace is currently in the development phase, and obtaining nonprofit status is essential to transforming our vision into a sustainable reality. Nonprofit status provides the foundation to secure grants, receive tax-deductible donations, establish strategic partnerships, and build the credibility necessary to earn the trust of funders, supporters, and the communities we will serve. Our mission is to create a safe place where women and families facing housing instability, domestic violence, financial hardship, and other life-altering challenges can find more than temporary shelter-they can find hope, healing, and a pathway to lasting independence. Through transitional housing and comprehensive support services, including case management, workforce development, financial literacy, life skills training, educational opportunities, and connections to essential community resources, we will empower each family to rebuild their lives with dignity and confidence. We believe every woman deserves not just a place to stay, but an opportunity to rise, restore her future, and create a legacy of stability for the generations that follow.
