Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

  1. The Reading League North Dakota came together as a statewide board of likeminded caring educators and formed and official board April 17th, 2025. We began the process of filing paperwork with the state of North Dakota, the federal government for the 501(c)3 non-profit status and the required insurance, bylaws, social media, event planning and documentation with our national umbrella organization throughout the rest of the calendar year. We did not officially launch and open for membership until the end of January 2026.
