Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $4,168 spent. Physical Fitness: our Fit4Life is designed to provide specific exercises for Parkinson's people, exercise is the only way known to slow the progression of Parkinson's, an incurable disease. We are still in start up phase of this program. Also exercise helps to manage Parkinson's symptoms. Donated services: DCCC&SC a function of Nevada County, Nevada (government), provides donated services to DCPSG in the form of: Exercise rooms; Equipment; Storage space; and meeting rooms, presently at no charge. DCCC&SC also provides vetting of our contracted exercise trainers. About 30 people are served by this program.
  2. Providing education of Parkinson's with expert speakers at our meetings with information to help our Parkinson's people, their Caregivers, and family members. About 70 people are served by this effort. In 2025 this was 18+ hours of meetings and sessions. Donated Services as above DCCC&SC (county government) supports this.
  3. To serve and support the local Parkinson's community, their Caregivers, and family members. To provide forms for mutual exchange of experiences, coping methods, socialization opportunities, and to outreach to the newly diagnosed. In 2025 this was about 24+ hours of sessions. Our group knows that there are many more Parkinson's people loally and we are trying to engage them in our group's activities and support them. Again DCCC&SC supported these programs with meeting rooms.
