What it says it does

WE BELIEVE BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU SHOULD BE ACCESSIBLE TO ANYONE WILLING TO PUT IN THE WORK--REGARDLESS OF THEIR FINANCIAL SITUATION. OUR MISSION IS TO SUPPORT YOUTH AND ADULT PRACTITIONERS ACROSS THE U.S BY PROVIDING SCHOLARSHIPS FOR COMPETITION EXPENSES, TRAINING AND GEAR. WE FOCUS ON ASSISTING LOWER-RANKED ATHLETES WHO DEMONSTRATE STRONG CHARACTER AND GIVE BACK TO THE JIU JITSU COMMUNITY--BECAUSE THEY REPRESENT THE FUTURE OF THE SPORT. TOO OFTEN, TALENTED INDIVIDUALS ARE FORCED TO WALK AWAY FROM JIU JITSU DUE TO THE FINANCIAL BURDEN. WE'RE HERE TO CHANGE THAT. JIU JITSU OFFERS FAR MORE THAN JUST PHYSICAL FITNESS. IT BUILDS CONFIDENCE, RESILENCE, DISCIPLINE, AND EMOTIONAL STRENGTH. IT TEACHES YOU HOW TO FACE ADVERSITY, HOW TO COMMUNICATE, HOW TO LEAD--AND IT CREATES A DEEP SENSE OF BELONGING. THESE BENEFITS CAN BE LIFE-CHANGING, ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE NAVIGATING HARDSHIP. BY BREAKING DOWN FINANCIAL BARRIERS, WE'RE NOT JUST HELPING INDIVIDUALS, WE'RE INVESTING IN THE FUTURE OF THE JIU JITS

Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.
