Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $74,822 spent. Medical and direct care expenses- The focus of this accomplishment is immediate health and physical needs for the animals we rescued. In 2025, we helped 352 animals receive the care they needed. All of them had to get medical care of some sort, including vaccines, microchips, and spay/neuter. Many of them needed heartworm treatment, surgeries, or hospitalization due to illness such as parvo. This was by far the largest cost for the rescue. Another aspect of care we provide is necessary supplies for the animals. As a foster-based animal rescue, we ensure each of our fosters has the supplies necessary to adequately care for their foster animal(s). The final aspect of direct care is boarding costs. While we aim to have all of our animals in foster homes, it is inevitable that we occasionally end up needing to put one into boarding.
  2. $924 spent. Rescue Operations- The focus of this accomplishment is daily logistics and administrative functions which support the rescue. This includes postage and supplies needed for adoption events and shipping out heartworm/flea/tick prevention monthly; our website and domain; our jotform account where we have all of our forms and applications; etc.
  3. $28,167 spent. Rescue and rehabilitation- The focus of this accomplishment is removing the animals from a dangerous environment such as the streets or a high kill shelter, providing them behavioral training when needed, ensuring they are safe and taken care of at all times, and getting them to their new homes, including transportation to out of state adopters.
