Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $14,163 spent. Lemons to Lemonade hosted a free annual grief camp for children ages 5 to 13 who have experienced the loss of a parent, sibling, family member, or loved one. The week long camp provided peer connection, resilience building activities, creative expression, therapy animal visits, and opportunities for children to build friendships with others who understand their grief journey. In 2025, the organization served approximately 32 campers and engaged 27 volunteers, including licensed mental health professionals, to support programming and activities.
  2. $8,534 spent. Lemons to Lemonade expanded awareness of childhood grief through educational resources, community outreach, and partnerships with schools, healthcare providers, grief professionals, and nonprofit organizations. The organization distributed grief-related educational materials, provided referrals to support services, and worked to increase awareness of the lack of grief resources available to children in Orange County. These efforts reached hundreds of community members and helped connect grieving children and families with appropriate support.
  3. $10,000 spent. Lemons to Lemonade provided ongoing community-based meetups throughout the year for grieving children and their families. These gatherings promote peer connection, social support, resilience, and emotional well-being through age-appropriate activities and shared experiences. Programs were offered free of charge and served approximately 10-20 children per month, benefiting an estimated 150+ individuals annually, including children and family members.
