Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $20,959 spent. Supply Chains: Colombian bananas produced in conditions of forced labor are being exported to the US and Europe, labeled as ethically sourced. We conducted follow-up investigations, expanded interview reach, established a designated coordination process with brands, traders, unions and government to develop collaborative improvements.
  2. $31,472 spent. Grievances: Completed data analysis, developed reporting for 2026 publication regarding 2,600 complaints received by Colombian gold mining project proponent that is displacing artisanal miners and resettling villagers. Work is now expanding as the project moves into development phase. Security risks are increasing necessitating greater care and expense during work.
  3. $3,349 spent. Engagement with the business and human rights community included in-depth fieldwork in Brazilian aluminum operations to follow up on environmental, community and labor harms. Findings were reported on (orally and informally) at the UN Forum on Business and Human Rights in Geneva.
