Programs described in its return (1)
- $2.3 million spent. Social Services for low income, public, and affordable housing - This program provides technical capacity building tools, training and support for low income housing sites that provide social and health services and to their residents. Through this program, social services coordinators are provided support and training to implement, manage, and monitor their resident services programs. Sites that participate in this program get unlimited training and support for all staff involved in service delivery. Last year, our resident services program worked with over 8,000 low income, public and affordable housing sites and served nearly 1 million low income residents. These residents received over 3,000,0000 services related to health, education, employment, financial asset building, civic, and other human services and resources that keep them healthy, safe, financially stable, and independent. In addition to assisting with staff training and implementation for new hires and turnover, we make sure to help our clients understand HIPAA to make sure they are compliant with laws related to health data and security. We worked with over 4,000 social workers and resident service coordinators this year, virtually all of whom work in low income neighborhoods in every state in our country.
