Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $91,203 spent. The Cervantes Festival in Balboa Park brings together students, instructors, and community members to read excerpts from Don Quijote de la Mancha and celebrate our sister citys native son, Miguel de Cervantes. Leading up to the event, our society visits local classrooms and invites students to contribute artwork for the Festival poster. The community then joins us for a day of Spanish music, dance, and food in celebration of Alcal and Spanish culture.
