Programs described in its return (4)
- $70,222 spent. HAVEN KIDS- His Safe Haven works with an NGO in Liberia (His Safe Haven Liberia) and LIVE2540, Inc., to provide foster care for 35 abandoned children who have special needs. The NGO used the grants we provided along with another $74,302 from another 501(c)3 organization (LIVE2540) to cover the cost of 10 homes, 8 full time foster moms and 10 substitutes moms/aunties, 1 resident grandfather, 1 nanny, 3 caregivers for the boys, 1 physician's assistant/asst. director, food prepared by 7 cooks and 1 head cook, security provided by 7 individuals, 3 lands keepers, 3 janitors, 1 maintenance, 2 laundry ladies, 2 full time nurse, medical supplies, housing and the other physical needs of the children.
- $33,670 spent. MISSIONARY FUNDS- These funds are used to support the transportation costs to and from the compound, along with any food, supplies, insurances, shipping, personal expenses and lodging.
- $20,358 spent. Hope of Home Outreach Program, provides assistance to over 65 families in Liberia and surrounding areas, who are caring for their own special needs child. This year, funds provided the program to continue training, giving family support, encouragement, medical assistance, financial support and bi-weekly home visits by our program nurses. Our main goal of this program is to help families feel supported, so they are less likely to abandon their child due to stigma and being ostracized. We also help families become self-sufficient.
- These funds were used to transport children, medical supplies, phone and internet expenses and put in a solar field for the common areas and hospital. Along with operating expenses.
