Impact evidence
Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.
Programs described in its return (1)
- $150,405 spent. Our 2025 accomplishments included: - Focused on developing the St. Xenia Cemetery on the property as more individuals requested burial on its premises- The wife of an Orthodox priest who is an architect designed a small chapel for the cemetery and several construction companies were invited to bid on the project- In preparation for construction the community addressed the drainage problems that have been a major factor whenever heavy and/or persistent rain occurs- In addition, the county also has required the monastery to construct a road on the property as part of a fire safety plan- Concurrent with this activity, the community continued its usual commitment to host meals for individuals attending memorial services for those buried in the cemetery as well as visitors attending regular religious services- Parish women's groups continue to use the Retreat Center for day retreats- In 2025 the community invited speakers from outside the region to lead two retreats at the monastery- These retreats raised the profile of the monastery across Orthodox jurisdictions and brought in greater support for the monastery's programs and the construction project.
