Parenting Classes Circle of Friends/Including Peer-to-Peer and Bump to Bundle Clients participating:114 Accomplishments: The Southern Ohio Pregnancy Center is dedicated to fostering both godly and healthy families. Our most sought-after offerings are parenting classes, which provide essential guidance for new parents and those with young children, helping them build the skills and knowledge needed to be nurturing caregivers. These classes are so well-regarded that Highland County Children Services and the Highland County Court System often include them in case plans for parents whose children are temporarily in foster care. Our new program, Bump-to-Bundle, is specially designed to support first-time parents as they prepare for and adjust to life with their new baby. Through engaging lessons and practical guidance, participants learn essential parenting skills, child safety, and foundational life lessons that help them thrive in their parenting journey.

This program empowers clients with practical knowledge to navigate their parenting journeys effectively. By incorporating BrightCourse, the Center has enhanced its service offerings, allowing clients to access educational content at their own pace and convenience. They are taught not only the physical consequences, but also the long-term consequences concerning their life goals. When the program began in 2007, Highland County was 4th in the state for teen pregnancy. Highland County is now 29th in the state for teen pregnancies. The program continues to get great feedback from students and teachers.
