Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (4)
  1. $17,814 spent. The Museum created an educational film that focused on the life of Alice Allison Dunnigan, the first female, African American who was authorized to attend and report on Presidential, Congressional and Supreme Court press conferences. Educational materials and curriculum were produced to accompany the film. This project was funded by a grant from the NPS and the AACRN.
  2. $10,866 spent. Research was conducted to identify African American Civil War veterans from Logan County, Ky, and the listing and information has been archived by the Museum and is available to the public. An exhibit was created and is on display at the museum. This project was funded by the Ky250 project.
  3. $17,192 spent. Genealogical research was conducted to identify descendants of the people who were enslaved by Major Richard Bibb. Previous research had been conducted, and additional research expanded the information regarding descendants. This research corresponded with the development by the Museum of a descendant advisory Board composed of Bibb descendants.
  4. Restoration work at the chapel at Bibbtown was continued from the past 2 years, and the first phase of this restoration was completed.
