THIS DEPARTMENT FACILITATED OVER 1,500 TRIPS IN OUR GREAT COMMUNITY IN TOTAL WITH ALL OUR TRANSPORTATION NEEDS, RT COVERED MORE THAN 180,000 MILES, THE EQUIVALENT OF 7.2 TRIPS AROUND THE EARTH THIS EFFORT REFLECTS OUR COMMITMENT TO ENSURING RELIABLE AND INCLUSIVE TRANSPORTATION FOR THOSE IN OUR CARE. EMPLOYMENT SERVICES OUR EMPLOYMENT SERVICES DEPARTMENT CONTINUED TO THRIVE IN 2024, FORMING PARTNERSHIPS WITH OVER 100 BUSINESSES THROUGHOUT THE COMMUNITY. THROUGH THESE COLLABORATIONS, OUR EMPLOYMENT SPECIALISTS AND EMPLOYMENT DISCOVERY SPECIALISTS PROVIDED INDIVIDUALIZED SUPPORT, HELPING PEOPLE WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES: "GAIN VALUABLE JOB SKILLS "ACHIEVE MEANINGFUL EMPLOYMENT "MAINTAIN POSITIONS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY USING A PERSON-CENTERED APPROACH, WE SUCCESSFULLY MATCHED INDIVIDUALS WITH JOBS THAT ALIGN WITH THEIR INTERESTS WHILE MEETING THE NEEDS OF LOCAL EMPLOYERS, A WIN-WIN FOR BOTH JOB SEEKERS AND BUSINESSES. TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENTS THROUGH GRANT SUPPORT THANKS TO GENEROUS GRANT FUNDING FROM THE PIQUA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION (7,500) AND THE TROY FOUNDATION (30,000), TOTALING 37,500. RT WILL SOON IMPLEMENT NEW TRANSPORTATION ROUTING SOFTWARE.
