Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (4)
  1. $9,396 spent. Now in its third year, the Annual CJ Delfosse Memorial Soccer Tournament - CJ's Soccer Classic - has become a cherished tradition in our community. In 2025, approximately 60 teams and their families from across the region came together not only to compete, but to honor CJ's memory and raise awareness for pediatric cancer. The tournament is more than just goals and trophies - it is about teamwork, friendship, and uniting around a cause bigger than the game itself. From spirited matches to cheers from the sidelines, every moment reflects CJ's love for soccer and the strength of the community carrying on his legacy. Proceeds from the tournament directly support CJ's Smile's mission of providing hope and comfort to children battling cancer. We are deeply grateful to every team, family, and supporter who makes this event possible.
  2. $6,484 spent. Through our annual Holiday Blessing initiative, CJ's Smile adopted 3 local families in need in 2025, providing holiday gifts, activity passes, and gift cards to bring joy and relief to families facing hardship during the holiday season.
  3. $7,026 spent. CJ's Smile provides monthly Blessing Envelopes filled with gift cards, comfort items, and words of encouragement to children newly diagnosed with cancer. In 2025, we distributed approximately 250 Blessing Envelopes to children and families throughout the year, primarily serving the Murrieta/Temecula region and surrounding communities. CJ's Smile also awarded $1,000 in grants to the Murrieta Dollars for Scholars program, supporting 2 student scholarship recipients at $500 each. As part of our ongoing hospital outreach, we provided $1,000 in gift cards to pediatric patients at Rady Children's Hospital. Additionally, CJ's Smile provided emergency financial assistance to 3-4 families facing crisis situations, with individual assistance exceeding $500 per family. Our mission is to ensure no family faces a childhood cancer diagnosis alone.
  4. $1,214 spent. CJ's Smile hosts an annual blanket drive to provide warm blankets to children in hospitals. In 2025, blankets were collected and distributed to pediatric patients to bring comfort during their hospital stays.
