Programs described in its return (5)
- $393,353 spent. Song of the North (theatrical play) - We have continued to tour our theatrical production, which premiered at the Brooklyn Academy of Music March 5, 2022. The 85-minute show incorporates puppets, shadow casters, music, and animation and is based on the 10th century epic poem Shahnameh. We produced this show with artist Hamid Rahmanian, providing support and fundraising services. We are also responsible for managing the tour and the show from the beginning of 2022 and beyond. This project was delayed until 2022 due to the COVID 19 pandemic. All touring dates have started and will continue through 2025.
- $42,550 spent. Prince of Sorrows Theatrical Symphonic Tale - This year we started production on a new theater piece. We are currently in production with an expected premierre in 2026.
- $6,940 spent. Book Publishing Fund - We are continuing with our publishing fund to help artists publish their own books, allowing them to maintain more control over their work. We help raise funds for the cost of the book and then retain some portion of the profits for additional reprints.
- Community Outreach - We continue to work with local communities, providing residencies, workshops, and other learning/engagement activities through our larger projects.
- Literary Translations - We support the work of translators in their effort to make literary works available to a larger, wider, and more diverse audience.
