- $47,887 spent. Crimson Foundation, Inc., is a non-profit corporation. It is organized and operates for charitable purposes to provide educational, job training, residential care and humanitarian aid to children in underserved international regions around the world. To this end our activities are designed to fulfill our philosophy and mission: 1. We believe education is a nation's greatest resource, teachers are like gold to a nation, and that true empowerment requires far more than teaching people to fish. It means helping them gain the creativity, principles, and capability necessary to positively impact their own communities and adapt to a changing world. We will provide educational opportunities by planning the development and creation of core services that teach children reading, writing, and arithmetic. This entails developing curriculum and hiring volunteers to work with international rural communities. 2. We believe that job readiness and training is crucial to maintaining a vital society. As people are equipped with the skills and opportunities to achieve, they in turn are empowered to build stronger communities and families. We have designed programs that target specific regions of interest. Local communities will be trained in areas of greatest need that will foster sustainability. Our research staff, per designated region, will investigate the economic and agricultural conditions to determine areas of greatest need. Our volunteers will implement the job readiness program will local communities. 3. We believe caring for the physical needs of children is important to building stronger communities. Building infrastructure and services to assist in housing for orphaned children will give children a greater sense of worth, value, and security. We will provide housing services to children abandoned by their parents as a result of HIV infections and/or war. Our program seeks to provide education, food, and supplies to neglected children. Our staff and volunteers will seek donations to directly fund the resources to service orphaned children. Our staff has designed programs that train local communities on counseling and education. 4. We believe providing humanitarian aid is a key component to combating poverty and meeting the desperate needs of individuals suffering from disaster. Helping others in need following disaster is crucial is helping the global community prevent death, disease and hunger. We will provide rapid response teams that target specific regions to alleviate the compounding effects from natural and man made disasters. Our services range from seeking donations of food and supplies to sending staff and volunteers to difficult regions to assist in disbursement of resources.
