Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $97,445 spent. THE KID SAFE PROGRAM PROVIDED SAFE AND AFFORDABLE CHILDCARE FOR MORE THAN 50 ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHILDREN MOST OF WHOM ATTEND PARK SCHOOL IN CROSS PLAINS, WISCONSIN. PARK SCHOOL IS A PUBLIC SCHOOL IN A BLUECOLLAR COMMUNITY WHERE THERE IS A SHORTAGE OF AFFORDABLE CHILDCARE. THE PROGRAM PAYS APPROXIMATELY $1,870 A YEAR FOR THE USE OF THE FACILITY (A GYM IN A PUBLIC SCHOOL) WHICH WE ESTIMATE IS WORTH THAT MUCH PER MONTH. THIS IS THE ONLY DAY CARE PROGRAM IN THE WESTERN PORTION OF THE COUNTY WHICH HAS BEEN AWARDED FOUR STARS FOR QUALITY OF CARE BY THE INDUSTRY RATING AUTHORITY. THE PROGRAM ALSO WORKS WITH THE SCHOOL DISTRICT AND OTHER LOCAL CHARITIES TO ASSIST "AT RISK" CHILDREN WHO, DUE TO ECONOMIC OR BEHAVIORAL ISSUES, CANNOT FIND AFFORDABLE CHILDCARE.
