Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $23,778 spent. WE SERVE ON AVERAGE 70 FAMILIES PER MONTH WHO COME TO THE PANTRY FOR SUPPLEMENTAL FOOD. THOSE FAMILIES RANGE FROM 1 PERSON TO 6 PERSON FAMILIES. ABOUT 60% OF THEM ARE SIGNED UP FOR THE GOVERNMENT'S SNAP PROGRAM. OF THE 40% LEFT, SOME DON'T WANT TO ATTEMPT THE PAPERWORK, WHILE OTHERS MAKE ANYWHERE FROM $1 OVER THE AMOUNT ALLOWED OR MORE. THEY CHOOSE THE FOODS THEY RECEIVE FROM AN ORDER SHEET OF 88 ITEMS OR MORE, WHICH INCLUDE PERSONAL CARE ITEMS, DIAPERS, AS WELL AS PERISHABLE AND NONPERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS. DEPENDING ON HOW MUCH A FAMILY ORDERS THEY CAN GET UP TO 80-90 POUNDS OF FOOD EACH MONTH
  2. $11,961 spent. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES EMERGENCY FUNDS FOR THINGS LIKE RENT, UTILITIES, AND CAR REPAIRS, ETC. WHEN FAMILIES ARE IN GREAT NEED OF HELP MEETING MONTHLY EXPENSES. THIS PROGRAM SERVED ABOUT 23 FAMILIES IN 2025. THE LIMIT ON USAGE PER YEAR IS $500 PER FAMILY. SOME REQUESTS ARE FOR LESS MONEY. THIS PROGRAM INVOLVES AN EXTENSIVE INTERVIEW PROCESS WITH THE FAMILY, SO WE HAVE AN IDEA OF THE INCOME AND EXPENSES. NO MONEY IS EVER GIVEN DIRECTLY TO THE FAMILY BUT PAID TO A BUSINESS.
  3. $4,687 spent. THIS PROGRAM COLLECTS FUNDS FOR SCHOOL SUPPLIES (PARTICULAR TO EACH GRADE) TO ANY STUDENT AT OUR LOCAL SCHOOL FROM PRE-K THROUGH JR HIGH SCHOOL. REQUESTED SUPPLIES ARE BOUGHT FOR EACH GRADE AND PUT IN SACKS TO BE HANDED OUT AT A SCHOOL FAIR IN SEPTEMBER OF EACH YEAR. THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN GROWING POPULARITY THESE LAST 2 YEARS AS PARENTS FIND IT SO CONVENIENT. WE SERVED STUDENTS IN 75 FAMILIES IN 2025 (149 STUDENTS).
