Impact evidence
Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.
Programs described in its return (2)
- $1.5 million spent. This past year, our Pilot Breakfast Program helped address increased food insecurity among our senior clients by providing nutritious breakfast meals for those most in need. Thanks to grant funding, more than 14,000 fully prepared meals were provided free of charge.
- This past fiscal year, our greatest community impact was reaching a milestone we had never achieved beforesurpassing 100,000 meals. In total, 105,336 meals were delivered to the doors of over 650 local homebound seniors. Meeting their rising housing, medical, transportation and food costs has become unsustainable for the thousands of seniors who live on incomes not far above the poverty level. To compound it, those with physical mobility limitations find it largely impossible to reach places where they might find affordable options or even free pantry food. While our program is designed as a sliding-scale cost-sharing model, more than half of the food we provided this past year, 53% was delivered at no cost to the recipient.
