What it says it does

DISCOVER FITNESS FOUNDATION'S MISSION IS TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS OR FIGHTING OBESITY AS WELL AS TALENTED YOUNG ATHLETES WHO ARE FINANCIALLY DISADVANTAGED. DFF PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR THESE CHILDREN TO PARTICIPATE IN RECREATIONAL AND COMPETITIVE-LEVEL GYMNASTICS. DFF WAS ESTABLISHED TO ADDRESS THE REALITY THAT TRADITIONAL FITNESS AND GYMNASTICS FACILITIES DO NOT EMPLOY THE NECESSARY TRAINERS REQUIRED TO TEACH CHILDREN WITH LEARNING DIFFERENCES OR THOSE CHILDREN WHO ARE AT RISK OF FAILING ACADEMICALLY. DFF OFFERS SPECIALIZED TRAINING FOR GYMNASIUM STAFF ON HOW TO UTILIZE TRAINING FACILITIES THAT WOULD OTHERWISE GO UNUSED DURING TRADITIONAL SCHOOL HOURS. DFF PLEDGES TO NURTURE POTENTIAL, PROMOTE DIGNITY, AND SUPPORT BOLD STEPS BY ALL, REGARDLESS OF ABILITY AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES. SINCE INCEPTION, DISCOVER FITNESS FOUNDATION HAS HELPED PROVIDE A TOTAL OF 1,433 CHILDREN WITH FITNESS CLASSES, INCLUDING 737 CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.
