Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (4)
  1. $240,082 spent. Our Fixit program combats overpopulation through accessible spay/neuter services, essential pet supplies, and bilingual resources. When funds allow, we also provide emergency pet care.
  2. $72,765 spent. The Youth & Paws (YAP) program inspires the next generation of animal advocates by visiting schools to teach students about responsible pet care, the importance of spaying and neutering, and the value of empathy toward all animals.
  3. $27,770 spent. Our Neighborhood Advocates program empowers residents to lead in animal welfare. By training community members to navigate regulations and serve as liaisons with city authorities, we foster self-sustaining solutions to neglect and promote safer, more humane neighborhoods.
  4. Part III Ln 1. Additional information on the organizations mission: The organization operates on the belief that animal welfare is directly linked to community health, safety, and property values. By teaching residents that the humane treatment of pets creates a better living environment for everyone, Barrio Dogs aims to address the root causes of pet homelessness through education, prevention and awareness.
