This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $102,000 spent. Consistent with the Strategic Plan reviewed by the Executive Board on July 15, 2025, ARIASE has achieved several significant accomplishments over the past year. ARIASE has continued to collaborate closely with the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) on the development and review of policies, procedures, and guidance documents impacting special education. ARIASE representatives have actively participated in RIDE subcommittee meetings and have ensured timely dissemination of relevant communications, updates, and policy information to the membership. The organization has maintained a strong presence in state-level educational initiatives and legislative discussions, particularly through engagement with the Rhode Island General Assembly's education committees. Through consultation with key decision-makers and strategic partnerships, ARIASE has helped influence public policy and advocate for the needs of students with disabilities, their families, and the professionals who serve them. In preparation for ARIASE's 50th Anniversary in 2026, the organization undertook a comprehensive rebranding effort, including the development of a new logo and refreshed organizational identity. A statewide student logo contest generated significant engagement, with more than 70 Rhode Island students expressing interest and participating in the process. ARIASE also completed updates to its website to enhance communication and member engagement.ARIASE's regional representatives continue to play an important role in identifying and maintaining a current inventory of state and local committees, advisory boards, and stakeholder groups on which members serve. This work reflects participation across public, private, and charter school settings and strengthens statewide collaboration and representation. The organization has continued to expand and strengthen its mentorship program in partnership with RIDE while maintaining collaborative relationships with organizations such as RISSA, RIASP, CASE, and other educational stakeholders throughout Rhode Island. ARIASE remains committed to providing high-quality professional development opportunities for its members. This includes the successful implementation of the 2025 Annual Conference, held over two days in Newport, Rhode Island, as well as ongoing professional learning opportunities throughout the year. Additionally, ARIASE continues to facilitate a statewide Community of Practice (CoP), bringing together special education leaders and professionals on a monthly or bi-monthly basis to discuss current issues, emerging trends, and topics impacting students with disabilities and their families.
