Programs described in its return (3)
- $619,622 spent. Safe water TODAY: Funding for drinking water projects in Uganda including Rainwater Collection Systems, Borehole Rehabilitation, New Borehole Drilling, Mechanized Boreholes, and Water Filters. Funds were raised and provided to a local partner organization in Uganda to implement agreed upon work to provide drinking water to communities there. Money was raised from private donors, businesses, schools, churches, foundations, and other charity organizations.
- $371,948 spent. Safe water TOMORROW: In 2025, 310 enrolled communities contributed more than 55,000 USD of their own resources to fund preventative maintenance via Aqua Trust, a local water enterprise that UWP has launched in Uganda. UWP provides catalytic funding to support the development of AquaTrust, a professional preventative maintenance service for rural boreholes. AquaTrust enrolls communities into a fee- based service that delivers ongoing maintenance and rapid repairs. The program is designed to ensure consistent borehole functionality, with a target of maintaining greater than 99 percent uptime across enrolled water points.
- $151,276 spent. Safe water FOREVER: The Rural and Urban Management Information System (RUMIS) is an initiative of UWP to design and deliver to the Ugandan Ministry of Water Environment (MWE) a live interative database built on the mWater platform, to manage all water assets in the country and encompass the work of all major stakeholder groups. In addition, UWP leads the training, implementation, and ongoing expert support for districts, MWE regional offices, and the MWEs MIS team. UWP also coordinates collaboration with other NGOs participating in the implementation of RUMIS in various districts of Uganda.
