Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $52,510 spent. Our General Fund provided essential supporter and care in 2024. Intended to meet the needs of the underresourced residents of La Mision valley the fund covers needs of all sorts through direct medical relief and working with partners.
  2. $5,323 spent. Our Mexican MD Fund supports the salary of a Mexican doctor on our team. The salary is administered through our legal Mexican foundation Fundacion Comunitaria Siloe. Without donor support for this fund we would not be able to afford a physician on our team -- a vital member of our mission. With sufficient funds we were able to hire an MD who works at our community clinic three days per week.
  3. Our Expansion Fund has been established for future expansion and improvements to our wellness center. Much of the current fund balance has been earmarked for an eyecare center in the future.
