  1. $24.8 million spent. SPECTRUM MEDICAL CARE CENTER (SMCC) ADVANCES THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF ARIZONA'S LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY AND THOSE LIVING WITH HIV BY PROVIDING PREMIUM, PERSONALIZED CARE ROOTED IN DEEP CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING AND HEALTH EQUITY. HISTORICALLY, HEALTHCARE HAS FOLLOWED A ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL MODEL THAT HAS NOT CENTERED THE UNIQUE NEEDS OR LIVED EXPERIENCES OF THE LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY AND INDIVIDUALS LIVING WITH HIV. AS A RESULT, MANY HAVE BEEN FORCED INTO SYSTEMS THAT DO NOT REFLECT OR SUPPORT THEM. SPECTRUM MEDICAL EXISTS TO CHANGE THAT BY PLACING THESE COMMUNITIES AT THE CENTER OF CARE AND ADVANCING AWARENESS, ADVOCACY, EDUCATION, TREATMENT, AND CULTURALLY RESPONSIVE SERVICES ACROSS THE ENTIRE PATIENT JOURNEY. SMCC SPECIALIZES IN LGBTQ+ HEALTHCARE, WITH A FOCUS ON THE TREATMENT AND PREVENTION OF SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED INFECTIONS (STIS), INCLUDING HIV AND HEPATITIS C (HCV). THE ORGANIZATION DELIVERS A COMPREHENSIVE CONTINUUM OF CARE FOR INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES LIVING WITH OR AFFECTED BY HIV, HCV, AND OTHER COMMUNICABLE DISEASES, SUPPORTED BY COORDINATED, INTERDISCIPLINARY TREATMENT PLANS TAILORED TO EACH PATIENT. OUR PATIENT NAVIGATION TEAM SUPPORTS ADHERENCE AND RETENTION IN CARE FOR INDIVIDUALS ACCESSING PREP, PEP, AND DOXYPEP. OUR STATEWIDE OUTREACH PROGRAM MEETS PATIENTS WHERE THEY ARE BY OFFERING FREE, CONFIDENTIAL FULL-PANEL STI TESTING, WELLNESS EXAMS, AND SAME-DAY ACCESS TO PREVENTIVE SERVICES. THE OUTREACH PROGRAM ALSO PROVIDES COMMUNITY EDUCATION TO ENSURE UNDERSERVED POPULATIONS HAVE ACCESS TO ACCURATE INFORMATION AND AVAILABLE RESOURCES TO SUPPORT INFORMED HEALTH DECISIONS. USING A STATUS-NEUTRAL APPROACH, SMCC PROVIDES HIV TREATMENT (U=U) AND PREVENTION SERVICES (PREP AND PEP) IN A STIGMA-FREE ENVIRONMENT FOR ALL INDIVIDUALS, REGARDLESS OF RACE, GENDER, GENDER IDENTITY, OR SEXUAL ORIENTATION. IN 2025, SMCC CONTINUED EXPANDING COMMUNITY OUTREACH SERVICES TO INCREASE ACCESS TO CARE, INCLUDING FREE WELLNESS EXAMS, HIV/STI/HCV TESTING, AND INTEGRATION OF SEXUAL HEALTH INTO PRIMARY CARE. OUR MOBILE CLINIC PROGRAM FURTHER ENHANCED ACCESS BY OFFERING SAME-DAY PREP CONSULTATIONS AND LINKAGE TO ONGOING MEDICAL CARE. THROUGH THESE EFFORTS, SMCC ENGAGED MORE THAN 4,200 INDIVIDUALS AND PROVIDED HIV TESTING TO 1,069 ARIZONANS. LOOKING AHEAD TO 2026, SMCC AIMS TO EXPAND SERVICES TO WOMEN WHO IDENTIFY AS PART OF THE LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY TO ADDRESS HEALTH DISPARITIES AND TO CONTINUE INCREASING PREP UPTAKE IN COMMUNITIES DISPROPORTIONATELY AFFECTED BY HIV IN ORDER TO REDUCE NEW HIV INFECTIONS IN ARIZONA. IN 2026, SMCC WILL TRANSITION INTO A NEW FACILITY WITH INCREASED CAPACITY TO SERVE LGBTQ+ INDIVIDUALS AND THOSE AFFECTED BY HIV/AIDS. THE ORGANIZATION WILL CONTINUE TO FOSTER TRUST IN VULNERABLE COMMUNITIES, REDUCE STIGMA RELATED TO SEXUAL HEALTH, AND PROMOTE CULTURALLY RESPONSIVE MESSAGING. ADDITIONALLY, THE GLEN SPENCER ENDING THE EPIDEMIC FUND, SMCC'S PHILANTHROPIC INITIATIVE, CONCLUDED ITS FOUR-YEAR GRANT CYCLE, DURING WHICH $1 MILLION IN GRANTS WAS AWARDED TO LOCAL NONPROFITS TO SUPPORT HIV PREVENTION EDUCATION AND OUTREACH EFFORTS FOR YOUTH, COMMUNITIES OF COLOR, AND OTHER PRIORITY POPULATIONS, PROMOTING PREP AS PART OF ROUTINE HEALTHCARE.
