Financial health
We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Programs described in its return (3)
- $180,015 spent. Our primary service is to promote downtown Marshall and bring people in to shop, dine, listen to music, participate in the arts, and enjoy our community. We do this by organizing events such as: Mermaids Festival, Music Festivals, Marshall Gras (small-scale Mardi Gras) and the Jingle Mingle. We also support our Towns events such as Memorial Day, Veterans Day, Safe Treat (Halloween), and the Christmas Parade
- The Downtown Marshall Association markets our town through: - Rack Cards (strategically placed throughout the region) - Walking Maps - Paid Advertising (News-Record & Sentinel and Madison County Visitors annual Visitors Guide) - Membership in Chambers (Madison County and Asheville) - Social Media boosts
- In September of 2024, our town was flooded due to Hurricane Helene. The Downtown Marshall Association took a lead role in organizing the recovery meetings and partnered with many organizations that came in to help our town recover. A GoFundMe was set up to benefit the town businesses and residents affected by the hurricane. The DMA served as the administrator of those funds and distributed them to affected businesses in the area.
