Programs described in its return (3)
- $215,090 spent. In 2024, the Pot of Gold program completed 250 deliveries to children with cancer at the request of 70 childrens hospitals and clinics nationwide. Each delivery was customized to the childs age, interests, and needs, and included gifts for siblings.Trained volunteers delivered the gifts in person whenever possible, spending time with the child and family to offer personal encouragement. Volunteers coordinated with hospital staff to pick the right time in the childs cancer battle. These deliveries provided direct, tangible support to children and families during treatment, creating moments of comfort and connection at a difficult time.
- $6,689 spent. In 2024, our advocacy efforts included a major trip to Washington, D.C., for CureFest and related childhood cancer advocacy activities. We met with legislators, participated in public events, and worked to advance policies supporting research and improved funding for pediatric cancer. We also provided on-the-ground support for awareness and research initiatives and traveled to collaborate with other organizations through coalitions and alliances. These efforts strengthened partnerships and unified voices in the fight against childhood cancer.
- $2,000 spent. To bring hope and encouragement to children and teens fighting childhood cancer through our Pot of Gold program and by raising awareness for increased funding for better research and treatment of pediatric cancers. In 2024, we provided small grants to families of children with cancer to help cover urgent needs such as travel to treatment, temporary lodging, and other essential expenses. These grants offered immediate relief and reduced financial strain during a critical time in the childs care.
