- $931,607 spent. THE PROGRAM YEAR OF 2024/2025 IN BENIN WAS MANAGED BY OUR TEAM OF TEN ANTI-TRAFFICKING STAFF MEMBERS. OVERSIGHT PROVIDED BY REBECCA PRATT, PRESIDENT.THE NUMEROUS ANTI-TRAFFICKING PROJECTS OUTLINED AS: INTERVENTION, RESCUE, RESTORATION, AND EMPOWERMENT CONTINUE TO GROW AND THRIVE WITH 6,001 DIRECT BENEFICIARIES. THIS YEAR WE CONTINUED TWO BUILDING PROJECTS. 1) THE FIRST PROJECT IS OUR SECOND COMMUNITY FREEDOM CENTER IN ONE OF THE ANTI-TRAFFICKING VILLAGES IN BENIN WHERE HUNDREDS OF KIDS HAVE BEEN INTERCEPTED FROM BEING SOLD INTO SLAVERY. ORPHAN RELIEF AND RESCUE WORKS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH GOVERNMENT AUTHORITIES, POLICE, AND SOCIAL WELFARE DEPARTMENTS TO PREVENT CHILD TRAFFICKING AND PROTECT VULNERABLE CHILDREN IN RURAL BENIN. THROUGH A LOCALLY LED ANTI-TRAFFICKING INITIATIVE, WE COLLABORATE WITH THESE DEPARTMENTS TO IDENTIFY CHILDREN AT RISK, ENFORCE CHILD PROTECTION LAWS, RESCUE CHILDREN FROM EXPLOITATION, AND RESTORE THEM THROUGH PAYING FOR THEIR EDUCATION, SAFE HOUSING, AND PAYING FOR THEIR VOCATIONAL TRAINING. BY COMBINING COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT WITH GOVERNMENT OVERSIGHT AND LEGAL ENFORCEMENT, WE STRENGTHEN CHILD PROTECTION SYSTEMS AND SUPPORT LONG-TERM SAFETY AND STABILITY FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES. THIS BUILDING HOLDS 500 PEOPLE. OVER 400 CHILDREN WHO WERE SOLD INTO A LIFE OF TRAFFICKING WERE BROUGHT BACK HOME. THERE ARE NINETY-SEVEN (97) CHILDREN IN OUR ORPHANAGE SAFE HOME, FOSTER CARE, AND APPRENTICESHIPS AND UNIVERSITIES. 2) THE SECOND PROJECT IS OUR THIRD COMMUNITY FREEDOM CENTER, ALSO BEING BUILT IN ONE OF THE FOUR ANTI-TRAFFICKING VILLAGES WHERE WE WORK. 3) THE THIRD WELL WAS COMPLETED IN MAY OF 2024.
