Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (2)
  1. Missionary Mobilization & Partnership. We come alongside local churches and provide assistance & training in mobilizing their members to make disciples of Jesus Christ for all nations. We teach them how to partner & care for their missionaries on the field. We send teams to work short term with nationals in many countries impacting the lives of the nationals and trip participants. We send our in house missionaries to develop partnerships with nationals in Southeast Asia.
  2. SPEAR International Ministries partners with national believers in North Vietnam to provide training, assistance and resources aimed at establishing and strengthening individual minority tribal Christians and churches. Training includes basic discipleship, church leader/pastoral training, female ministry leader training, and evangelist/ church planter training. Hundreds of tribal Christians have been able to take advantage of these training activities and are now leading tribal churches. In addition to the above, SPEAR IM seeks to provide financial resources to help with sending and sustaining evangelistic and church planting efforts among unreached tribal groups. As a result of the combined efforts of the members of this partnership several previously unreached ethnic groups now have groups of believers and churches. Along with sharing financial resources, SPEAR IM facilitates teams of U.S. believers to assist with various aspects of training. Finally, SPEAR IM is working toward establishing and facilitating on-going partnerships between our Vietnamese co-workers and churches/ministries in the U.S.
