Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. The organization is an all-volunteer "No Kill" Rescue. The mission is to take in unwanted, abandoned or abused dogs, cats, and other small pets and to place them into permanent homes and to provide sanctuary for the animals whose age, health issues or temperament precludes them from adoption.
  2. Dogs and Cats are neutered, vaccinated, & receive all necessary medical treatment before being made available for adoption. Through volunteer and outreach programs, the organization educates the next generation about the importance of spay and neuter and giving a lifelong home to their pets. Animals are rescued regardless of breed, age, and/or medical condition.
  3. The organization has rescued more than 2,800 unwanted pets. They have expanded to help all animals in need but specialize in the "un-adoptables": Cats and dogs missing hair, animals needing surgery prior to adoption, missing limbs or eyes, Sick kittens or puppies that have a very poor outlook at local shelters, and any animal that needs extra care before finding their permanent home.
