Throughout 2024 and 2025, Cantabile Youth Singers continued its mission of providing a hands-on approach to teaching children grades 1-12 singing, musicianship, and leadership, helping them develop not only their voices but also their appreciation of performance, visual art, languages and culture allowing them to become better world citizens.Cantabile produced five stand-alone concerts and recitals during the year as well as collaborated on multiple concerts and productions with Opera San Jos, Symphony San Jos, Symphony San Jos Chorale, and San Franciscos 21V choir as well as professional musicians from throughout the Bay Area. continued on Schedule O.... We hosted a choral exchange with a visiting choir from England (whom we plan to visit while on tour in 2026); and we culminated our season with a 30th Anniversary concert as part of the prestigious Stanford Live! series at Bing Concert Hall, featuring a world premiere work commissioned by Cantabile.Cantabile continued its touring program as its middle school performance choir Avanti attended the Sing a Mile High festival in Denver, Colorado. There they worked with world-renowned composers and conductors and had the opportunity to meet and perform with 300 young singers from across the country.Cantabiles enrollment continues to grow, reaching nearly 190 students by the end of the 24-25 Season; and continued its partnership with Bullis Charter School, providing BCS middle school students with an after-school choir class free of charge. In March 2025 Cantabile produced a successful Gala fundraiser in support of our 30th Anniversary, raising funds for our New Music Commission fund and our Scholarship program, ensuring that all students who wish to sing with Cantabile are able to do so regardless of their financial situation. Our Board and senior staff worked to strengthen Cantabiles governance and administration, including a complete revision of the employee handbook. Cantabile engaged a professional HR consultant to assist in that process, as well as to review our employee compensation and benefit packages. As Cantabile looks ahead to the 2025-2026 Season and beyond, our continued growth in all program areas enrollment, performance and musicianship, touring, and outreach reaffirms our commitment to our students and families and the Silicon Valley arts community.
