Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. Rotary is dedicated to causes that build relationships, improve lives, and create a better world for the people of Bucks County and local organizations. This is achieved through fundraising events and various service projects. For over 72 years our motto has been "service above self:. Our main projects for the 2024-2025 fiscal year were: 1. Hope on the Vine which includes silent and live auctions that raised $30,000. Money was allocated out to a variety of local charities (for example: local library, Arbor day activities for elementary school children, local non-profit theatre, breakfast with Santa, etc.) 2. Pancake Breakfast. Money raised was donated to local American Legion Post for their Memorial Day Parade. 3. Pedals for Progress - bicycles and sewing machines are collected (along with shipping donations) to ship items to third world countries. The recipients are able to ride to work or school on the bikes or start a home-based business with the sewing machines. Beyond the above, Newtown Rotary also participates/helps/donates to an annual Golf Outing for a non-profit elder care facility; Angel Tree (gifts for underprivileged children); breakfast with Santa (struggling families); twice a year food drive for a local pantry; Easter Egg Hunt for community members; donate to help eradicate polio throughout the world and a twice a year highway clean up. We help wherever and whenever a need arises, to the best of our ability.
