Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (4)
  1. Let's Get Smart - STEAM Ahead - provides students with tools to succeed in a rapidly changing technological world. Students benefit through an integrated approach to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) education focused on real-world and authentic problems. Benefits over 2,000 students.
  2. Emotional Supports Resources Grant: The objectives of the educational project were to provide resources to support self-regulation and behavioral growth among students within the Emotional Support setting. This funding supported the K-2 Autistic students for We Rock the Spectrum gym, swimming, at the YMCA.
  3. Post Prom: UMEF sponsored The Upper Moreland High School Post Prom Event. This event's purpose is to provide a safe, supervised, and fun-filled party for UMHS's senior class whether they attend the Senior Prom or not. It takes place in the high school gym immediately following the Senior Prom until 2 am. The party is planned and carried out completely by parent volunteers, but they can't do it alone. This was in support of the photo booth.
  4. Classroom and Library Equipment & Materials: Various classroom and library materials were funded that supported teachers and students to have the needed supplies and tools to help with the education process. This area also funded various furniture like tables, chairs, and special needs items. The English Language Development program's populations has nearly tripled and furniture was needed to accommodate collaborative workspaces. Additionally more flexible seating in the classroom is needed because it engages student to learn in different ways and gets them up and moving.
