- A HUNTER SAFETY COURSE IS OFFERED TWICE A YEAR. STUDENTS LEARN HUNTING AND GUN SAFETY THROUGH LECTURES, HANDS ON SHOOTING AND HANDLING A GUN SAFELY. AT THE END OF THE HUNTER SAFETY COURSE, ALL STUDENTS TAKE A WRITTEN TEST.
- DEC-ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION SUMMER PROGRAM. THE CLUB SPONSORS 3-5 CHILDREN OF MEMBERS OR RELATIVES OF MEMBERS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 11-13. EACH CHILD COMPLETES THE ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION PROGRAM THROUGH THE DEC, AND RECEIVES A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION. AT THE 4 DIFFERENT CAMPS, YOUTHS WILL BECOME IMMERSED IN CONSERVATION EDUCATION.
- TRAP SHOOTING. MEMBERS CAN PARTICIPATE IN TWO LEAGUES OFFERED IN THE SUMMER AND WINTER. TRAP PRACTICE IS HELD ON SATURDAY MORNINGS BETWEEN 8AM AND 12 NOON AND THURSDAY EVENINGS 4PM TO 7PM, DURING THE WARMER MONTHS OF MAY-OCT.
