Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $43,932 spent. To solicit sponsors for Kenyan school students; providing tuition books uniforms boarding fees for many and school necessities for all. Serving 100 students from preschool to University levels. Transportation is provided as well as food and lodging during school breaks for several orphans or others depending on needs and circumstances. This EXPENSE IS SHOWN ON LINE 10 and is supported thru our sponsors.
  2. $24,068 spent. Occasionally a sponsor may elect to assist their sponsored child with a donation toward the workshops or special educational program provided. Other than that workshops are offered to students and parents in a variety of forums Often working with illiterate women at no charge. Such may include money management preparation of healthier family meals and better communication skills where poverty is so prevalent.
  3. The two staff women solely support a small business run by women. The store supplies daily needs but moreover supplies financial support for these barely literate and otherwise unemployable women with opportunities to learn marketable trades help their community and help elevate their self esteem. The program is showing success and we hope will be self sustaining one day.
