Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. THE SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDRENS' BASEBALL PROGRAM PART OF OUR MISSION CONTINUED TO SERVE 200 CHILDREN ON 16 TEAMS, MAKING IT ONE OF THE LARGEST MIRACLE LEAGUE PROGRAMS IN THE COUNTRY. THE PROGRAM INITIALLY STARTED IN 2006 WITH 65 CHILDREN ON 4 TEAMS. A DATABASE OF VOLUNTEERS HAS GROWN TO NEARLY 400, WITH EACH CHILD PAIRED WITH A VOLUNTEER BUDDY.
  2. OUR MISSION ALSO INCLUDES CONSTRUCTION OF SPECIAL FACILITIES THAT MEET THE NEEDS OF FAMILIES OF CHILDREN WITH MENTAL OR PHYSICAL CHALLENGES. THE BASEBALL PROGRAM WITH THE CONSTRUCTION OF A UNIQUE RUBBBER SURFACE BALL FIELD IS ONE MEANS. THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN ALL INCLUSIVE PLAYGROUND AT THE SITE WITH ACCESS IN AND AROUND THE PLAY EQUIPMENT FOR CHILDREN IN WHEEL CHAIRS IS ANOTHER. A SOFT, CLEAN, RUBBER SURFACE IS PART OF THIS CONSTRUCTION. DURING 2017 A SIGNIFICANT INVESTMENT WAS MADE FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE RUBBER SURFACE OF THE FIELD, WHICH HAS WORN FROM 12 YEARS OF USE.
  3. ASSISTANCE WAS RENDERED TO NEIGHBORING COMMUNITIES. MANITOWOC STARTED A MIRACLE LEAGUE PROGRAM OF THEIR OWN WITH A SIMILAR RUBBER SURFACE FIELD. APPLETON'S MIRACLE LEAGUE WAS STARTED BY A FAMILY WHOSE SON PLAYED IN GREEN BAY.
