Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $97,412 spent. BRAVE BOX SUPPORT PROGRAM. In 2025, we provided 539 newly diagnosed children, and their families with Type 1 diabetes at 5 mid western children's hospitals and beyond with free care packages. We partner with diabetes medical teams to bring comfort and support items, supplies, educational tools, practical needs and resources designed to educate and empower, let families know they are not alone and prepare them for their forever fight battling Type 1. Since we began, over 6,355 boxes have been delivered. Brave Boxes are FREE to kids/families and have tools valued at approximately $250 ea; Over a million dollars in products/tools in total to date. We are most proud of the emotional support the Brave Boxes contain. Physical health and emotional health are connected and supporting one, supports the other.
  2. $8,000 spent. SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM. In 2025, we provided 5 college bound students with Type 1 diabetes scholarship dollars to help with the cost of education. With the financial strain of lifelong medical costs, scholarships for students with Type 1 diabetes are crucial.
  3. $31,290 spent. In 2025, we were able to continue the restart and development (since Covid) Outreach, Education Classes, a Pen Pal Club. Outreach consisted family meet ups. The support that comes from connecting with others walking in their shoes is beyond measurable; Education classes consisted of providing Type 1 diabetes medical education to extended family, caregivers, school personnel and day care centers; Pen Pal Club enables kids to chat the old fashion way thru snail mail, chatting and becoming friends with others 'just like them.'
